Counselling:
I provide a safe and compassionate space where it is possible to develop deeper awareness of the circumstances that have given rise to uncomfortable and difficult emotions and thoughts. Contemplating the whole picture of your life enables us to make sense of how your unique belief systems have been created and how they sit within the family, cultural and global systems you are part of. Our work together is aimed at bringing you back to greater peace and balance, with an emphasis on supporting you to embrace and integrate all aspects of yourself.
I work with a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, loss, and existential crises. I also have experience of – and a particular interest in – working with people who have experienced a ‘spiritual emergency’ (psychospiritual crises) or who would like to make sense of religious or spiritual experiences, including near-death experiences, or psychic emergence (non-ordinary states of consciousness).
My primary therapeutic approaches are transpersonal and relational although I also draw upon a wider range of therapeutic theories and practices when appropriate. My style of working may particularly appeal to clients who seek to find meaning in their lives (why am I here? Who am I?) and who value exploring their inner worlds through dream analysis or guided journeying, if appropriate.

Regression Therapy & Inner Child Healing:
"Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes."
- Carl Jung
- Carl Jung
I hold a Diploma in Regression Therapy from the Regression Academy in Dorset. This training is accredited by the International Board of Regression Therapy (IBRT) and the General Hypnosis Standards Council (GHSC).
Regression Therapy entails going back to the root cause or source of a current problem which is invariably inaccessible, for whatever reason, to your conscious mind. This approach provides a powerful opportunity to revisit, review and resolve these events and memories in a supported and safe therapeutic environment. It is possible to observe earlier life events from a different perspective and to be guided to a clearer perception and understanding. It is often a very liberating experience as you are enabled to let go of or desensitize specific past experiences that may be causing you mental, emotional or physical disharmony.
One of the added bonuses of being in a safe, inwardly focused state during a Regression Therapy session is the opportunity to connect with your own inner wisdom, creativity and awareness. By working with your hopes and expectations of positive change, new ideas, possibilities and learnings are more easily accessed.
One particularly beautiful aspect of Regression Therapy that I offer is ‘Inner Child Healing’. Many of our experiences, perceptions, thoughts, and feelings during childhood created beliefs about the world and our place in it. These experiences were deeply internalized and - mostly subconsciously – form the basis of our personality - who we think we are, what we do, how we communicate and how we behave. Inner Child Healing is an opportunity to meet aspects of yourself as a child when you had perhaps felt amongst other things, confused, hurt, belittled, or misunderstood. In Inner Child Healing, we can meet these child parts – who may feel disenfranchised or even rejected by the adult self - and lavish them with the understanding, attention, love, care, and resources that were perhaps missing or withheld in earlier life. It is a deeply healing experience which will improve self-compassion, self-awareness, and self-esteem.

Other/Past Life Therapy
"There are more things in Heaven and Earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy."
- Shakespeare
- Shakespeare
Other/Past Life Therapy involves entering an inwardly focused state of awareness and deep relaxation to access the story of another, different life – popularly referred to as a 'past' life - with a view to understanding, transforming, and healing it. You will access the experiences of this other person - observing the story of their life, their defining relationships, and experiences. It can feel like stepping into their shoes – you may have a strong sense of their personality, their emotional state, their struggles, their physicality, and their choices.
You don’t have to believe in ‘past lives’ to benefit from the insights and transformations that can occur when journeying in another’s shoes. Past Life Therapy can be a very powerful tool for healing current issues or challenges in your life. The insights and transformations gathered during this process can lead to profound change in your life and relationships. There can be a remission or significant change in the issue you are bringing to therapy – and these issues can be as diverse as inexplicable fears, phobias, relationship issues, ill health, anxiety, or depression to name but a few. In fact, you may not even go to a life that most people would term a 'life from the past' - i.e. during a historical setting pre-21st Century - although most people do.

Soul Memory Regression/Between Lives Therapy
"You must be ready to accept the possibility that there is a limitless range of awareness for which we now have no words; that awareness can expand beyond range of your ego, your self, your familiar identity, beyond everything you have learned, beyond your notions of space and time, beyond the differences which usually separate people from each other and from the world around them."
- The Tibetan Book of the Dead
- The Tibetan Book of the Dead
Between Lives Spiritual Regression is used to explore soul memories. In a deep trance state, we can access details about events or relationships in your life and reconnect with your guidance and soul “family”. By moving beyond the ego/personality state we can explore soul lineage, life choices and reccurring challenges and blocks in your life and relationships. Trance is achieved by using visualization and hypnosis techniques to enter a deep meditative state of being. Often, after the session, there is a clearer understanding and commitment to our life purpose/choices and a greater compassion for our self and other people we encounter during our life.
Soul memory regression has been developed by many pioneers from 1980 onward including Dr Joel Whitton, Dr Helen Wambach, Dolores Cannon and more recently Dr Michael Newton.
Please note this is usually a one-off session. The session lasts about 4 hours. All clients must undertake at least one ‘Past Life’ therapy session before going ahead with a Between Lives Spiritual Regression.

A little note about Hypnosis:
“You use hypnosis not as a cure but as a means of establishing a favourable climate in which to learn.”
- Milton H Erickson

Hypnosis is simply a way of working with a naturally occurring state of mind; the ‘trance’ state. We all enter into some form of trance state – an inwardly focused state of attention – on a daily basis. Whether it is when we are daydreaming or when we are sitting and reading a book - fully engrossed in the story and characters – and totally unaware of the noises and activities going on around us in the ‘real’ world. Or maybe when we are driving along the motorway, lost in thought – we may get to our destination having manoeuvred our vehicle at high speed, whizzing past places and turnings but not fully remembering the scenery or the actual moment to moment motions of driving the car. In both of these examples we had entered a light trance state where we have become attuned to our inner world and the outer world has shifted into the background.
Hypnosis can be helpful when used as a tool for entering the subconscious realm. This is the part of us that is mostly hidden from the conscious, waking day to day part of ourselves that we most often identify with – the rational, logical ‘brain’ mind – the part dealing with our everyday activities, making decisions and seemingly running the show. However, it is the subconscious part where the majority of our first memories and beliefs are actually stored and most times, unwittingly inform and sometimes sabotage our day to day actions and reactions. It is an immensely powerful arena where these memories and emotional/thinking reactions are held. Through deep relaxation we can access and address these deep seated body memories, issues, emotional memories and beliefs that are not serving us positively in the here and now. We can easily access this emotionally charged information – from the very beginning of our life – and sometimes from before – in order to alter how we feel about these experiences. It enables us to make the unconscious conscious.
The success of therapeutic hypnosis is very much dependent on how comfortable you feel with me, the practitioner, how you are feeling on the day, how motivated you feel to make change in your life and your willingness to nurture and follow through on the learning and insights you garner during the process. Being in this wonderful space allows you to access a rich source of wisdom, insight and creativity. Because our ‘minds’ find it difficult to differentiate between a real experience memory and a strongly imagined one, it is possible to sensitively re-frame memories and beliefs to positively benefit you.
Often the act of being hypnotised is unhelpfully associated with the images of entertainment hypnosis we may have seen on TV or stage. Hypnosis used in a therapeutic setting is very different. In a therapeutic trance state one merely becomes less tied to thoughts and concerns, yet never loses the ability to over-ride what is being suggested by the therapist. It is a safe and comfortable process where, if you wish, you can move your body or stop the process. It will not contravene your own personal values and belief system, you are never ‘controlled’ and after the session you will be able to recall what I have said to you.
I provide a complete recording of all Hypnosis and Regression Therapy sessions with my clients.
